Here’s a Pinocchio cover I’ve just done for Puffin, who are relaunching a bunch of classic children’s books at the moment. Making Pinocchio “my own” was the challenge (as the Disney version is so ingrained) and also making the typography an integral part of the design. After spending a day researching a plethora of old Pinocchio covers from around the world, this one came together really quickly once I settled for a snow-covered Tuscan landscape as the background.
